119th Congress (2025-2026)
Below you will find the current legislation sponsored by Congressman Latta. These are the laws our “representative” is working to create, that should be aligned to the interests of his constituents.
119TH CONGRESS 1ST SESSION
H. R. 685
To amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to prohibit the approval of new abortion drugs, to prohibit investigational use exemptions for abortion drugs, and to impose additional regulatory requirements with respect to previously approved abortion drugs, and for other purposes.
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES JANUARY 23, 2025 Mr. LATTA (for himself, Mr. ROUZER, Mr. BRECHEEN, Mr. STRONG, Mrs. MILLER of Illinois, Mr. WEBSTER of Florida, Mr. FINSTAD, Mr. ADERHOLT, Mr. FEENSTRA, Mr. SMITH of New Jersey, Mr. FULCHER, Mr. FLOOD, Mr. MANN, Mr. HARRIS of Maryland, Mr. FONG, Mr. ELLZEY, Mr. WEBER of Texas, Mr. MCCORMICK, Mr. MOOLENAAR, Mr. OGLES, Mr. GUEST, Mr. HIGGINS of Louisiana, Mr. PALMER, Mr. MOORE of North Carolina, Mr. SHREVE, and Mr. LAHOOD) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.
OH Issue 1, Nov 2023
Despite Ohio overwhelmingly voting to protect abortion rights to ensure the safety and health autonomy of women, Bob Latta has been working diligently on restricting abortion for years. Congressman Latta doesn’t trust the experts at the FDA to perform their job to protect us. Bob Latta, a lawyer, thinks he knows more about health and science than the experts at the FDA. This is one of his top priorities in 2025, even though the bill has yet to pass every time he proposes it. Ohio voters voted to add this protection into the state constitution a little over one year ago, but Congressman Latta doesn’t seem to care. Congressman Latta won’t stand up for our national parks, our air traffic controllers, our healthcare, or our veterans, but he is willing to spend his time to fight against the autonomy of women to make decisions about their own health and safety. If Latta really wanted to “Save Moms and Babies” he would leave these decisions to our health experts, and advocate for our children rather than working to remove the benefits they receive through critical programs such as Medicaid.
